Congratulations on your first birthday party booking! As a professional face painter, you want to make sure you arrive at the job feeling ready to impress. Get your kit together
Make sure you have all the basic supplies you will need, such as paint, mirror, and menu board. If the customer has requested a specific theme or colors, be sure to purchase or make the necessary items ahead of time.
Confirm the time, place, and guest count.
Reach out to the customer the day before the event to ensure you have the correct address and that there have been no changes to the number of guests who will be painted. Adjust your plan accordingly if the guest count has changed.
Give yourself enough time to get there.
Map out the location and plan to arrive early enough to set up and start painting right on time. Pro Tip, some customers will insist that you arrive 30+ minutes early. We recommend reassuring them that you will be ready to paint right on time. However, if they really need you there be sure to quote them the extra time they are asking.
Have your payment collection method ready
Agree on the payment amount, time, and method before the event to avoid any confusion. Make sure you have everything you need to take electronic payments, such as a card reader or smartphone.
After the gig
Be sure to pack up everything, thank the customer for having you, and ask for a testimonial or review. Clean and disinfect your kit, and restock any supplies that are running low.
